Cancellation policy
A plain cancellation and no-show policy to put on your booking page, in your confirmation email and at your front desk.
A cancellation policy only works if clients see it before they book, and if you apply it the same way every time. Keep it short enough to read on a phone.
Want one written around your own rules? The free booking policy writer builds one from your notice period, deposit and late rules.

Questions
How much notice should I ask for?
24 hours is the most common, and 48 hours is common for longer or more expensive appointments. Pick a period that gives you a real chance to fill the slot.
Can I keep a deposit if a client cancels late?
Usually, if the client agreed to the policy before booking. Consumer rules differ by country, so check what applies where you trade.
Where should the policy go?
On your booking page, in the confirmation email and at your front desk. Clients should see it before they pay the deposit.
Keep every client document in one place.
startbuddi keeps your documents next to the client, the project and the invoice, so nothing lives in a stray folder.
