Understand your business

See what's working, then ask Chip what to do next.

Data analytics tools for small business shouldn't need a data person. Money, contacts, deals, forms, bookings, pages and campaigns sit in one Analytics hub, each compared with the period before in plain words. Ask Chip what changed and it answers from your own numbers.

No need to set everything up on day one.

The problem

The numbers are everywhere except in one place.

Revenue is in the bank app, leads in a spreadsheet, page visits in Google Analytics and campaign results in yet another dashboard. Putting them side by side takes an afternoon, so it rarely happens.

Without that, it is hard to say which channel brings the customers who pay, or what to change next month.

What you get instead

  • One place for your numbersForms, bookings, contacts, deals and money count from the moment they happen.
  • Where customers came fromSee where new contacts and won deals came from, in plain words like "a form" or "WhatsApp".
  • Search in plain wordsConnect Google Search Console to see clicks, impressions and the searches that find you.
  • A next step, not just a chartAsk Chip what changed. It answers from your numbers and suggests what to do next.
How it works

Three steps to get going.

Step 1 · Overview

Open one page and see how the business is doing.

Open Analytics and the Overview has your key numbers, each one saying where it came from, traffic and leads over time, and where new contacts found you. Nothing to set up for the startbuddi part: forms, bookings, contacts, deals and money count from the moment they happen. On Growth and up, an organisation health score adds the biggest drag and the biggest lift, in a sentence each.

  • Every number says where it comes from
  • Compare with the period before, any range you like on paid plans
  • Money in your own currency; anything converted says so

Step 2 · Data sources

Add your website and search data.

Your startbuddi pages are tracked on their own. For any other website, paste one snippet: visitors, where they came from, top pages and conversions, with no cookies and no IP addresses stored. Connect Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Mixpanel for the rest. A new source brings in the last 90 days, then updates every night.

  • Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Mixpanel
  • Website tracking without cookies
  • Your Google reviews, from Publish

Step 3 · Ask Chip

Ask Chip what changed and what to do.

Chip's summary says what went up and down. Press Write it up and Chip turns it into a few plain sentences; ask "why did visits change?" and it digs in, names the numbers it used and ends with one next step. It can also build a dashboard from a sentence, shown to you before it saves.

  • The plain summary is free; Write it up is 2 credits, a "why" is 3
  • Build a dashboard from a sentence: 8 credits, saved on your yes
  • Credits come back if Chip returns nothing

Start to finish

Follow one customer from visit to payment.

Because the visit, the sign-up, the deal and the payment happen in startbuddi, Analytics can follow one customer the whole way.

A visit to your page
  1. They fill in a form or book

The source is saved on their contact: a form, a booking, your pages or a chat.

    FormsBookings
  2. A deal is won

Won deals keep the source the customer came from.

  3. The money comes in

Money received counts in your home currency, from paid invoices.

  4. Analytics adds it up

Compared with the period before, with where contacts and won deals came from.

  5. Chip suggests the next step

Ask what changed and Chip answers from those numbers.

Questions people ask

What can I see in Analytics?
Money received, new contacts, deals won, form submissions, page visits, bookings and campaign results, each compared with the period before. Data from startbuddi is there from the start, and you can add your website, Google Analytics and Search Console.
Does it replace Google Analytics?
It works with it. Connect Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, or add the startbuddi snippet to your website for visitors and conversions without cookies.
Can I see where my customers came from?
Yes. Contact and deal sources show in plain words, like a form, a booking, your pages, WhatsApp or Prospecting, so you can see which ones bring in won deals and their value.
Can I see how I show up on Google?
Connect Google Search Console to see clicks, impressions, average position and the searches that find you. In Publish, the SEO view shows which of your pages are missing a title or description.
Can I send a report to my team or a client?
Yes. Make a report from a template, a dashboard or with Chip, then share it as a PDF, an email, a link with a password, or in the client's portal. Scheduled reports can go out every week or month, with a review before each one is sent.
Is money shown in my currency?
Yes. Money is shown in your workspace's home currency, like naira, and totals from other currencies are converted and labelled, never mixed in silently.
