Questions about Chat

Is this a Slack alternative for small teams?
For a small team, yes: channels, DMs, group chats and project rooms, built into the same place as your projects, customers and documents.
Is Chat for talking to customers?
No. Chat is for your team. Customer messages from email, WhatsApp, SMS and website chat go to the Inbox in Customers.
Can I add a client to a conversation?
Yes. Add a client contact as a guest, or create a Client channel for them.
Does Chat have threads?
Reply quotes the message you are answering in the conversation, so everyone can follow along. Pin and Save keep important messages easy to find.
Can we talk instead of typing?
Yes. Click Drop in on a channel or DM to start a quick audio drop-in, or call a teammate from the top bar. Drop-ins and calls come with startbuddi Live, on every plan.
Is there a limit on messages?
No. Send as many as you like on any plan. Shared files and media are kept for 30 days.
