Talk it through now. No meeting needed.
A drop-in is a huddle alternative built into your team chat: one click on a channel, a DM or a project and you are talking. Audio first, screen share when you need it, and it ends on its own when everyone leaves.
Free plan, no card needed. Or book a demo.
One button on every channel, DM and project.
Click Drop in at the top of a Chat channel, a direct message or a project and you are in, with your microphone on and your camera off. Starting a drop-in in a DM or a channel rings the people in it; anyone who opens it later sees the drop-in bar with who is talking and a Join button.
- On Chat channels, DMs and project headers
- Rings the people in the DM or channel, on their phone too when notifications are on
- Private channels stay private: only members can drop in
Keep working while you talk.
Press Keep working and the drop-in shrinks to a mini-player that stays with you as you open projects, customers or documents. Open it again when you want the full view.
- The mini-player survives moving between pages
- Leave from anywhere in one click
- Sounds when people join and leave, which you can turn off
Need one person? Call them.
Drop in or call sits in the top bar on every page. Search for a teammate to ring them, or pick a space to drop in to. They get an incoming call card with your name, and a notification if they are elsewhere.
- "Call a teammate or drop in to a space"
- Answer or decline from the incoming call card
- Do not disturb turns calls away with a polite message
Never recorded. Notes only if you ask.
Drop-ins are never recorded, so people talk freely. If a drop-in turns into a decision, anyone can switch Chip notes on, and everyone in it sees the notice straight away. The notes come back as a draft to check before anything is saved.
- No recording button in drop-ins, on any plan
- "Chip notes are on. Everyone here can see this."
- Chip notes from Starter, using Chip credits
