SOP Template (Standard Operating Procedure)
Free Word template for agencies and consultants documenting a repeatable process.
An SOP exists so a process doesn’t live only in one person’s head. The moment that person is on leave, or leaves the business entirely, an undocumented process becomes a real operational risk.
This template covers purpose, scope, step-by-step procedure, and responsibilities, written to be handed to someone new and followed without needing to ask clarifying questions.

Questions
How detailed should an SOP be?
Detailed enough that someone unfamiliar with the process could follow it without help, but not so granular that it needs rewriting every time a minor tool or step changes.
How often should SOPs be reviewed?
Whenever the underlying process changes, plus a periodic review (quarterly or twice a year) to catch drift between what’s documented and what actually happens.
Keep every client document in one place.
startbuddi keeps your documents next to the client, the project and the invoice, so nothing lives in a stray folder.
