Sheets, decks and live co-editing in Documents
Documents now has proper spreadsheets and designed slide decks, and your team can edit any document together. Chip builds sheets and decks for you.
What changed
- Sheets are rebuilt, with formulas that nest and reach across tabs, filters, sorting, conditional formatting and data validation. Open and save Excel and CSV files with the formulas kept.
- Add charts drawn live from a sheet, and ask Chip in the sheet to explain, write or fix a formula or clean up your data. Chip checks every formula before it reaches your sheet.
- Ask Chip for a whole sheet, like a 12-month cash flow, and it builds one with working formulas and flags anything it could not fix.
- Pull invoices, payments, expenses, deals, contacts, tasks or bookings into a sheet that refreshes, and summarise them with pivot tables.
- Chip plans a deck, then designs the slides on 26 layouts and your choice of theme, and a design check catches text that does not fit or is hard to read. Present with a speaker view, download an editable PowerPoint file, or upload one to edit.
- Edit docs, sheets and decks together, with each person's cursor and name. Name and restore versions, and search inside every document.
- The text editor is laid out like Google Docs, with menus, a toolbar, a ruler and an outline, and Create with Chip writes a first draft from an outline you check.
