Terms of Service

Last updated 30 June 2026

In plain English
We collect only what we need to run startbuddi. We never sell your data, and we never use your private workspace content to train public AI models. You can export or delete your data anytime.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of startbuddi (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using startbuddi on behalf of a business, you agree on its behalf.

Your account

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not misuse the Service, send spam, infringe others’ rights, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you put into your workspace. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to use any data you upload and for messaging your contacts in line with applicable law.

Plans, billing and trials

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle in your local currency.
  • Annual plans are billed at ten months for twelve.
  • Trials give full access for the stated period with no card required; at the end you may choose a paid plan or the free tier.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes may apply.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the current paid period.

Chip AI

Chip AI generates suggestions and automations to assist you. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or sending it. Chip is a tool, not professional advice.

Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties such as payment processors and messaging providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

Suspension and termination

You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to us. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, startbuddi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Lagos have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law in your country provides otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version here. Continued use means you accept the changes. Questions? Email legal@startbuddi.com.
